Travels in Eastern Europe

Shortly I will embark on my latest journey east with my regular travel buddy Hamish.

We have a rough itinerary mapped, a couple of Airbnbs booked and flights from and to the UK (the latter should say hopefully thanks to Ryanair’s latest PR own goal!).

Apart from that we have little certainty as to whether trains we would like to catch are actually running, likewise buses, whilst hotels and side trips will be booked on the hoof.

That’s just the way we like it too. Normal life is so structured with the working day pretty much broken down into 16 half hour slots, that the chance to wing it and take the odd risk is a really welcome alternative.

Wish us luck. For the record our plans take us from Corfu to Albania, northwards to Kosovo, due south again to Skopje, an overnight to Serbia, before finally ending up in Romania.

Points Failures?

Read here about how we got on sometime soon……..
